In the Portuguese province of Minho, Jesus Christ and Bachus are the guests of honour at a pilgrimage, taking place on the 28th to the 29th of August, at Arga Mountain valley.
The voice of God and the chanting of the crowd fill the mountain.
The sacred and the profane together, hand in hand. Thousands of pilgrims flock to fulfil their promises, to worship the saint, to attend mass and also to drink a glass of brandy and honey.
